Abstract

The wheat milling industry is one of the most important agricultural industries in Egypt. The total capital invested in this industry is LE 1.3 billion and it accommodates more than 35,000 workers in all production areas in Egypt. In the last period there has been a significant development in the number, ownership and management of mills. The total number of mills reached 153 mills in 2018 , 81 public sector mills and 72 private sector mills. The state works hard to provide wheat, Or importer to fill the gap in the area and therefore working on the dam located in the flour deficit, and reached ground wheat company Central and West Delta Flour Mills about 1588.86thousand tons during the year 2017/2018 and milling industry is mainly based in Egypt, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Food Industries Mills companiesNorth Cairo Mills, South Cairo Mills, Giza, East Delta Flour Mills, Alexandria Flour Mills, Middle Egypt Flour Mills, Upper Egypt Flour Mills and Middle and West Delta Flour Mills, which occupies the leading position in this industry, and the company has five geographical sectors in the provinces of Al-Gharbia,Beheira , Kafr El-Sheikh, Qaliubiya and Menoufia .
