Change in Value System Between Parents and Sons Generations in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate

Abstract

The research aimed at identify Change in Value system Between Parents and Sons Generations, the research conducted in three villages in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, sample consisted of 462 respondents representing 231 family, with two respondents from each family, one representing the generation of parents, the other representing the generation of sons, data collected using an interview questionnaire, the data analyzed with: frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation, weighted means, and chi square test. The most important results were: There is no difference between parents and sons about the spread of values: respect for sanctities and beliefs, appreciation of speech etiquette, investigation of halal and distance from the forbidden, the righteousness of parents, love of the nation and its defense, appreciation of national symbols role, cooperation and development of collective spirit, belief in justice and equality, and appreciation of friendship and friendliness, hope and optimism for the future, honest, modest, estimate manual work, preserve agricultural land, help in agricultural work, own an agricultural project, while there was a difference between parents and sons with other values studied, The most important causes of value change are: communication the Internet, television, radio series and programs, modernity and contemporary society.
