Abstract

this research aimed to identify Knowledge level of the Directors Boards Members of the Agricultural Cooperatives in the General Supervision of Development and Cooperatives Regarding their Extension Role in Kafrelsheikh Governorate. This research was conducted on three districts that were randomly selected from among the six districts. Then number of director’s board’s members of the agricultural cooperatives (52 cooperatives) was limited to them, and they amounted to 371 members to represent the research comprehensively. By using Krejcie and Morgan tables, a simple random sample of 190 researchers was taken from them, distributed among the research districts according to the percentage of representation in the comprehensive. The research data were collected through a personal questionnaire during the period October-December 2024. Some statistical tools used to analyze the data.
The most important results focused on: that 67.4% of them had medium total knowledge. That 41.57% of them had high knowledge of the educational role, 70.5% of them had low knowledge of the planning role, 77.3% of them w had medium knowledge of the support role, 63.1% of them had medium knowledge of the coordination role, 53% of them had high knowledge of the communication role, and 48.4% of them had low knowledge of the service role. It was found that 60% of them had high degree of exposure to agricultural information sources. The most important agricultural information sources they were exposed to be: Manager of the agricultural cooperative association by average (83.6), Whatsapp (75.5), and traders of the agricultural production supplies (69.3).
