AN ECONOMIC STUDY OF THE PRODUCTION OF SOME FROZEN VEGETABLES AND FRUITS IN EGYPT

Abstract

The private sector companies came to open new markets for frozen vegetables, as they targeted most sectors to market frozen vegetables such as (hotels and restaurants, hospitals, private and government companies, hotel boats and luxury trains, universities, in addition to small and large shops) to deliver these goods to those who want the products Frozen, where there are many families who work in various jobs and do not have the time to buy fresh vegetables from the market, so they find that the best solution and way for them is to buy frozen vegetables
The most important results of Chapter Two were for the total area of vegetables during the period (2005-2020). It was found from the results of the study that the area of vegetables had ranged as a minimum, estimated at about ( 131.5 ) thousand acres in 2012, and also may ranged to a maximum of ( 1985.8 ) thousand acres in 2014 , while it reached The average area of the total vegetable crops produced in Egypt is about ( 959.1 ) thousand feddans during the study period .
And from the results of the study of the total production of vegetables in the study, the minimum range was (1124.4) . ( Thousand tons per year (2011) and also ranged to the maximum (21226.7) thousand tons in 2020, while the average production of vegetable crops produced in Egypt was about ( 8081 ) thousand tons during the study period .
