Rural women's knowledge of the therapeutic role of functional foods for some diseases in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate

Abstract

This research aimed mainly at identifying the knowledge of the rural women surveyed about the role of functional foods in increasing the nutritional and healthy value of food in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, on a sample of 217 respondents. The research villages, this has been using percentages, the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, the simple correlation coefficient, and the multiple regression coefficient. Approximately 79%, about 68%, and about 72% of the respondents had no, low and medium knowledge of the role of functional food in the treatment of some diseases, bone pain, joint roughness, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancerous diseases, and immune diseases. , malnutrition diseases, kidney diseases, and digestive system diseases, respectively. The results also indicate that the independent variables together explain 32.7% of the variance in the knowledge of the rural women interviewed about the role of functional food in the treatment of some diseases. Nada to the value of R 2.
