Abstract

This research mainly aimed to identify the knowledge of farmers about the methods of protecting the home and natural environment from pollution in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate، on a sample of 201 respondents، and the data necessary to achieve the objectives of the research were met by using a questionnaire form with a personal interview، after preparing the form and initially testing it in other than the research villages، Percentages، arithmetic mean، standard deviation، simple correlation coefficient، and multiple regression coefficient were used. The most important results were that about 84%، 97%، 88.5%، 99%، 94%، 95.5%، about 82% of the farmers surveyed were low Intermediate knowledge of methods of protecting the home and natural environment from pollution، methods of protecting individuals from diseases، methods of protecting dwellings from pollution، methods of protecting food from pollution، methods of preventing urban space from pollution، methods of protecting irrigation water from pollution، and methods of protecting air from pollution، respectively. The results also indicate that the independent variables together explain 65.1% of the variance in the respondents' knowledge of the methods of protecting the home and natural environment from pollution based on the value of R2.
