The Impact of Electronic Educational Platforms on The Behavior of University Rural Youth in Ismailia Governorate

Abstract

The research aimed to: identify the degree of impact of electronic educational platforms on the behavior of university rural youth in Ismailia Governorate. The study was conducted at Suez Canal University in Ismailia Governorate on a sample of 345 male and female students using a simple random sampling method during the academic year 2020/2021. The data were collected using “Google Form” questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using: frequencies and percentages, weighted mean, Pearson correlation coefficient, T-test, and “Step Wise” regression. The study found: that the most important electronic educational platforms that were used in Egyptian universities were the “Microsoft Teams” educational platform with a percentage of 52.5%, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank platform with a percentage of 36.8%. The results also showed the medium effect of electronic educational platforms on the behavior of rural university youth in the rate of 69.9%. and the axes most affected by the electronic educational platforms was the development of communication skills with a relative importance of 34.7%. The results also showed three independent variables contributed significantly to explaining the total variance of the impact of electronic educational platforms on the behavior of rural university youth at a rate of 22.5%, these variables are: the trend towards e-education by 19.6%, and the number of hours of using the electronic educational platform by 1.8 %, and the number of subjects studied using the electronic educational platform by 1.1%, the effects of these variables were positive
