Abstract

This research mainly aimed to study the role of rural women in making family decisions in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. On the same sample, it consisted of 235 women and the wife of a holder, and the most important results are summarized as follows: The roles related to the field of farm and animal management came in the first place, followed by the roles related to the field of home management with a weighted average of 2.28, 2.17 degrees, respectively, and that about 79%, and about 51%, about 89% of the rural women surveyed had a low and medium role in making family decisions, making family decisions in the field of home management, and making family decisions in the field of farm and animal management. The results show that the independent variables are collectively related to the variable of the role of the rural women respondents in making family decisions with a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.508, and the value of “q” calculated to test the significance of this coefficient is 19,958, which is a statistically significant value at the probability level at least 0.01, and the value of the coefficient of determination indicates (R2) indicates that the four independent variables explain about 25.8% of the variance in the degrees of the role of the rural women respondents in making family decisions.
