Abstract

The research mainly aimed to study the locally available feed alternatives from non-traditional materials such as some plant and Animals wastes. This is in relatively specific proportions so that it works to reduce the costs of fish feed, as it was found that the main problem facing the moneylenders is the high prices of the feed due to the import of its components from abroad, which results in the high price of a ton of the feed, and the research goal can be achieved through a set of points: (Getting the traditional optimal combination of feed from the traditional feed ingredients, which are fish meal, soybeans, yellow corn, and wheat bran, which is the combination in which all the basic nutrients in addition to energy elements are available in correct proportions, so that the costs for each age group of fish are reduced, which are) Agricultural, fingerlings, and developing), the substitution of unconventional feed ingredients from animal and plant wastes that partially replace the traditional ingredients for the diet in specific proportions To meet nutritional needs at the lowest possible cost compared to their conventional analogues.
In achieving goals, the research relied on using the linear programming method as one of the economical and mathematical methods for operations research in estimating the optimal feed for each of the three age groups for different fish, chief among them the primary production fish in Egypt, which is tilapia.
