Abstract

The research aims implementation evaluate of the extension program to develop the knowledge of rural women in the food consumption rationalizing field at the village of Manshiat Abbas, Sidi Salem district, Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.
This research was conducted in Abbas Manshiat, Sidi Salem district, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, based on the results of a study and analysis of the current situation in this village to determine the knowledge extension needs for rural women, and some appropriate statistical methods were used to analysis of the data to achieve of goals.
The most important search results were:
The results showed that 81.5% of the respondents fell into the category of low total knowledge level with indicative recommendations before implementing the program, while 96.7% of them fell into the high total knowledge class with indicative recommendations, after implementing the program.
And when arranging the processes of rationalizing the total food consumption according to the percentage of achieving the indicative goals of the researches, it ranked first in the process of purchasing food with an average of 85.3%, followed by the process of storing food with an average of 84.6%, and the process of dealing with the remaining food came in the last place with an average of 76%, and this indicates Increase the percentage of achieving indicative goals related to the studied operations.
