Problems facing agricultural extension agents when using distance education media in agricultural extension work in some district of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate

Abstract

This research aimed mainly at identifying the problems facing agricultural extension agents when using distance education media in agricultural extension work in some district of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. The research was conducted on a sample of 127 respondents. Percentages, the arithmetic mean, and the standard deviation were used to analyze the data of this research. The most important findings of the research were that about 88% of the counselors surveyed believe that distance education media are available to a low or medium degree, and about 81% of the counselors surveyed use these media. In a small and medium degree, the results showed that it was possible to arrange the rate of use of the sources on which the surveyed agricultural extension agents rely to obtain agricultural knowledge in descending order according to the weighted degree of the rate of use, as follows: sources that depend on the use of information and communication technology with a weighted degree of 1.98 degrees, then the sources of providing information In a written form with a weighted score of 1.95, and finally sources that provide information verbally (verbal) with a weighted score of 1.92. degree, and that about 87% of the agricultural extension agents surveyed were medium and high in the degree of presence of problems using distance education media in agricultural extension work
