Abstract

This research mainly aimed to study the factors affecting the performance of the rural women respondents to their roles in the field of consumer rationalization for the family in Gharbia Governorate, and two of the eight administrative centers of Gharbia Governorate were randomly selected. Each administrative center was the village of Shubra Nabat in the center of Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra, and the village of Kafr Al-Sharaqouh in the center of Samannoud, and the research was conducted on a sample of 205 respondents. 76%, 80.5%, and nearly 88% of the total rural women respondents were low and medium consumption rationalization in general, and rationalization of consumption of: electricity, water, gas, clothing, and food, respectively. The results also showed that the independent variables included in the research combined It is associated with the degree of consumption rationalization for the rural family with a multiple correlation coefficient of 0.591, and it has been proven that this relationship is significant at the 0.01 probability level based on the calculated “P” value, which amounted to 5.915, and that the independent variables together explain 35% of the Variation in the dependent variable based on the value of the coefficient of determination (R2), which means that there are other variables that have a significant effect on the dependent variable that the research did not address and can be taken into account when conducting other studies in this field.
