Abstract

The main aim of this research was to determine the level of knowledge of the local leaders of the  associations members of the drainage collectors who covered the importance and benefits of drainage and the importance of preserving the watercourses from pollution in Kafr El Sheikh Kafr El-Sheikh governorate on a sample of 175 subjects. The data needed to achieve the research objectives were met using a questionnaire interview The percentages were calculated using the percentages, the mean arithmetic, and the standard deviation. The main results were that about 64%, approximately 64%, about 60%, about 90%, About 96%, Of the research sample were enrolled in the low and medium knowledge level categories of the guiding recommendations on the importance and benefits of drainage and the importance of protecting the watercourses from pollution, respectively, and that the independent variables combined with the level of knowledge of local leaders members of the user associations of exchange pools covering the importance and benefits of drainage and the importance of Maintenance of watercourses from pollution with a multivariate correlation coefficient 0.577, a value determined at the probability level of 0.01 based on the value of (P), which reached 6.199. The results also indicate that the independent variables combined explain 33.6% In addition to the level of knowledge of the local leaders, members of the user associations of exchange pools covering the importance and benefits of drainage coverage and the importance of preserving watercourses from pollution based on the value of R2.
